Statement

The project started when I completed a jigsaw puzzle of the Tower
of Babel by Bruegel only to discover I was missing a number of pieces. I
was intrigued by the notion of being able to complete an image even
when parts were not available. And the beauty of the overall positive
and negative shape created by the absence of pieces. The project is a
extensive series of to scale drawings and paintings that will explore a
variety of mediums and methods applied to this image.
