General statement on stained glass:
Stained glass is a kinetic art form. Sunlight streams through the glass to energize the colors and fill them with life. I like to view stained glass as a metaphor of photosynthesis. It displays the sun's energy that brings sustenance to our being. While not all of my pieces make a direct connection to this idea, this is what draws me to stained glass.
Statement on this piece:
This piece is based off a doodle I had made. I like the double imagery of the sun, rain drop and splash that create the flower, stem and leaves of the plant. It makes for a great stained glass suncatcher.
