Soirée Previewis our witty, sassy and playfulFringe Festivalshow. The performance includes three original dance works performed byKinetic Evolutionsand features the choreography ofSarah LaRose-Holland. Each dance takes the audience on a journey of character, contrast and emotion.

Visceral Experiencespairs live rock music with modern
dance. Exploring softness, support and rhythm, the dancers visually portray the sound score. Local band B-Line provides the live accompaniment for this sextet of dancers.

Stuck in 5investigates the concept and confines of five. This quintet of dancers push the boundaries of all things 5, such as a 5 count, 9-5 work routine, or simply 5 bodies. Stuck in 5is performed to an original score byTim Donahue.

Going to theSoiréebrings out the character driven
work that has become the staple of Kinetic Evolutions artistic explorations of late. These ten dancers compliment and contrast each other with their
distinct personas and styles. Sometimes they seem to get along and sometimes they seem ready to compete. Excitement and anticipation build as the dance takes the audience on this theatricalsoirée.

Kinetic Evolutions dancers include: Sarah LaRose-Holland (director), Catherine Decker, Kristin Grohs, Sarah Hauss, Zeb Henderson-Shreve, John Munger, Hai Dang Nguyen, Ashleigh Penrod, Stacy Pottinger, Kayla Schiltgen, Una Setia and Jenny Sung.

B-Line members include Mark Holland (vocals), Dave Mitch (guitar), Jim Ryshavy (bass), Mike Akan (drums), Brad Thoen (drums).

“Going to the Soirée” provides an opportunity for choreographer Sarah LaRose-Holland of Kinetic Evolutions to explore character-based work, a new direction in the repertory of her 5-year-old company. The result is a playful romp referencing not just sock hops, malt shops and road trips but also inspirations that seem just a bit darker and more intriguing, all set to music ranging from Louis Armstrong to Devotchka. The program includes the witty, pratfall-driven quintet “Stuck in 5” and the rock-and-rhythm inspired “Visceral Experiences,” featuring propulsive live music from the band B-Line.
