The Federal Holiday Series was a public project by Monica Sheets and Jane Powers working under the name Patriots Act. Flag Day was the first work in the series that raised questions about national history and the meaning of patriotism. On each of eight federal holidays, postcards and objects were passed out in public locations. Participants were invited to send the card on and send feedback to patriotsact@hotmail.com
