House of Beasts was a boreal teahouse built for the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, and it later traveled to the Tweed Museum in Duluth. The bilaterally symmetrical tracery designs in the windows mimic animal and insect faces; the work is meant to be a place where the relation of fascination and dread, comfort and discomfort, of people with the natural world can be discussed.
