I. H. SÖNJU ASSOCIATES GALLERIES, FSA; Former Sotheby's Associate, features the works of Abstract Emotional Expressionist Artist Irene Sönju. Irene H. Sönju’s works have been described as "vibrant" and "emotional", "passionate", "inspiring, visually intriguing, and aesthetically captivating". "The melding of bold colors makes her paintings feel as though they are alive". Irene Sönju is an Abstract Emotional Expressionist Artist who paints not what is seen but what is deeply felt, sometimes prophetic, Irene expresses the unseen in a way few other artists dare to communicate. Irene Sönju's paintings are communication beyond the spoken word. The emotions of the being are deeper than the thoughts of the mind or feelings of the physical body. Irene Sönju’s work takes you introspectively deeper than words alone dare to go. Each painting has a life of its own given to it by the Artist who put their strength and expression into its creation.



Irene holds a degree in Interior Design and a BA degree in Studio Art specializing in Abstract Emotional Expressionism; and Art History with an emphasis in East Indian, Asian and Oceanic Art from College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University.
