THE TOURMALINE
syrinx beehive crippled
pallium emerald wolf
canopy pelican daisy
dabchick moss Valhalla
i burn & burn the hollow
wooden cow of Pasiphae
& the chancel arch or
the tornado in a closet
i fret the hawks atop a ladder
& black firs in the background
(i shred your goldilocks
beneath my gold helmet)
red flower & red rhinoceros the
ruby shattered in Onuphrius's ice
white dittany & yellow iris melt
the gargoyle inside the church
but the onyx & liver in my nostrils
crushes triangles with the apex down
& glues a bitter herb on the tau cross
sneezing on a sunday (for safety seek)
the devil will have you
the whole of the week
i see a man suspended in
& out of a basket by a rope
the caduceus with maize & verbena
chrysoberyl mustard of Lorraine
as the cedrela tree shrinks in me
the bagpipe with tourmaline today
& the mandorla under the sweet
justica of orchids & my sour ice ...
