I wanted to do something with an industrial or farm equipment theme. I liked the shape and hardness of bearings, and thought it would be neat/fun to do somehting like a U-joint with them.

Others have liked it. This one won an honerable mention at Arts West 05, and it sparked off a theme that I explored though the spring of that year.
